Srikar and I were stuck in a big mess after we went to Kalyan's place for a jam session. We had to start off by going for a movie at the nearby Cine Planet. And after watching a movie like Transformers, I must confess that Aag was one of the worst I ever saw. I couldn't believe it, but I was actually yawning in the theatre. I was getting bored and it was not just me. Everyone were practically waiting for something to happen but nothing actually did. I didn't watch Sholay, so I can't compare the original and the remake. I was pretty much bored with the storyline as well because I didn't find anything new in the plot. The songs were nauseating and I couldn't bear to hear or watch the songs... it was a truly bad experience and I was surprised to know it was the first day coz, there was hardly any crowd compared to the usual standards. Maybe a few actors acted well, but I was too busy cursing myself for coming to the movie.
After that forgetful experience, we finally got down to do what we came for and got along with our jam session which was alright. Slowly the co-ordination is improving and one day it might finally sound right and perfect. I hope that day comes before I get out of college. After doing practically nothing the whole day, I am still tired now and I would prefer to blog some other time...

Brand Ambassadors ...
Welcome to the Live Blog!. Things happening around me as I type. Srikar is at my home now, and after a full day of jamming, we got this crazy idea. We just piled up all the electronic junk we have and took a photo of that. And the photo is here on the live blog. We are still jamming here and many songs are underway....
One small task I am putting up here. Just try to tell all the Brand names that are present in this photo. I know it is difficult because this pic is of a lower resolution and seeing all the brand names is nearly impossible. If you find that too difficult, then atleast try this one. Try to give the list of all the gads that are present there. Mind you, there are a few things that are hidden (but still visible)...

My Cam Tricks ...
I had a tough time getting my Camera into the right tune to take the type of pictures that I want. I am still having some trouble, but I have achieved what I could never think about. A look at the pics below will definitely show the result of my experiments. Let me confirm that, these pics are directly from the camera and have not been edited or re-touched anywhere. I must confess I reduced the size of the image because who in the world will upload 1MB pics (1600X1200 res)??
Maybe for photography "know-it-all" guys, this might be piece of cake. It was for me as well, but I had to think a lot before I could do it. So it wasn't really a tasty piece of cake...
These 2 pics are simple ones, but the process got complicated because I don't have Manual Focus and that's the only bad thing in my Camera. Close-up pics work only without Flash and for that, the lighting must be good and exposure must be high. And for a higher exposure, I had to avoid any kinda shaky stuff. On top of all that, I had problems with the focussing and luckily, I found an option called Macro which solved the close-up problem. But still, if the object you want to focus on is not near the middle, the camera tries to focus onto some other object, and keeping so many things working at a time was pretty difficult. But somehow, I managed it. The result shows it...
Look at these pics. I think I really pushed my Camera to its usage limit. It's kinda easy to guess how I did this, and once again, I maintain that I didn't retouch them in any software. So that is the original cam pic. Especially the last one. That is me sitting like a transparent ghost. Some creative thoughts ran into my brain that night... LEDs and stuff ..... hehe... keep guessing, you'll get it soon.

Welcome Home
After this long break, I am finally back into blogging, and here it goes ...
I'll post about a few special days later (but will appear earlier than this date), but let me take a leap about today...
I got so many things done today. First thing, I repaired my TV remote by myself (mind you, I am not much of an elecs guy). Then, I had to get my computer repaired because of that faulty Hard-disk. Even that was done. Then, I got my internet connection back today, after a long long wait. The reason why I couldn't post all these days.
Another thing was, today was my friend, Raj Kiran's Birthday (a.k.a RaKa) and we had a blast at Prasad's. Transformers was the theme and the movie just blew me away, transformed me into something else. I am not a movie-buff so I can happily say it stands at #1 in those handfulla movies that I ever watched on theatre. The VFX was way too good and the Hard Rock background was making the heart race. I was never interested in the animated series, but the movie really did something to me... they simply used Boys' Toys, high-end Chevys, F-22 Raptors, great machines, and great music ... (especially, What I've Done by Linkin Park). They stuck with the latest craze and that made me go crazy about the movie ... sorry, I never liked a movie so much. It's simply a must watch... for me atleast.

College ??
The last few days' experience in college has left me dazed and unsettled. What kind of a world are we living in? The behaviour of the college management has changed so drastically that i am numb in shock. First thing, they take attendance every morning at 9:30am and call up to the homes of all the other people who didnt turn up. 50% of the guys come after 9:45am. That simply means trouble.
Second thing, the lecturers' quality has gone way below the line. A lecturer is respected only when he shows respect, confidence and dominance. No one is able to do that and they expect the students to listen to them like a bunch of kids who were just forced to put the finger on the lips. Sorry lecs, I am totally dissapointed. Either they go too slow or too fast. Both ways, we are the losers.
I heard all the lecturers held some kind of a meeting to discuss about controlling my class, Aero 3rd year. I know one thing. If they learn to organise their stuff and execute it properly, there is no need to control the class.
One more funny thing is, our Library periods are being used for some bloody English classes. We shouldn't be complaining about that coz, we must accept that we are total zeroes when it comes to speaking in English. But still, using the Library period for that sounds frustrating. I don't know what to say about this coz, it looks like i am contradicting my own point.
Phew! This won't end till i try to put an end to it. So let me end it forcefully here. As a piece of good news (for me, that is..) our soccer dreams are slowly getting their place in MRCET. Our PT sir who was so against organising a Football Tourn has finally agreed and as you might have seen the jerseys of our team ACE United in my previous posts, we are looking better prepared this time. After all this good show, i hope we don't let everyone down by putting up a bad show. We are supposed to be taking it as A Matter of Life and Death (co-incidentally, Iron Maiden's 2006 album)...

Another Sunday
This post is a bit long. Please take your time to read it. It's a long story.
A sunday. Everyone likes a sunday. Everyone likes to sleep on a sunday. But what was wrong with me? I didn't feel lazy or sleepy. No idea why. All i wanted to do was, step out of the house. Surprisingly, I wanted to smell things - smell the breeze, the trees, smell the fresh oxygen early in the morning.. I jumped out of bed and landed in my car. I didn't care where i was going. The windows were down, and the wind beating against my face, and was enjoying every moment of it. I suddenly forgot i was in Hyderabad, the city of traffic, noise, Carbon-monoxide, and lots more. I could see why people go out to jog early in the morning. The fresh air works better than caffeine, trust me. But somehow, the car wasn't totally fun. I went back home and took the bike. And went back along the same route, through the parks, and into the University and back home. The bike was surely more fun ...
After coming back home, I was suddenly made to crash land to earth. Parents shouting orders from other rooms, people jostling around and confusing me, I was positively stunned by the difference. Then it dawned to me. We were supposed to go out for shopping. For me, August is the best time of the year. We get holidays, the weather's great, and there are lots of Birthdays ... My own birthday, including my dad's, ensure that there are things to buy, things to do ... What followed, showed me a totally new face of our city.
The mood swung suddenly after rolling onto the road. The heavy traffic and all that noise really raised a doubt in me whether this was the same road that I drove on. Thankfully, I was not behind the wheel and with the windows closed, I felt better. The traffic on the way to Somajiguda was horrific. After getting through all that, we got into Hyd Central somehow and had to do those 2 rounds to get into the second level of parking space. Never before in my previous entries, did I see so many cars in the basement. It was practically choking with cars (2 wheelers were comfortably parked in some other basement due to lack of space), and there was a hazy and misty atmosphere in Level 2. Gave me a feeling like i was stepping into some creepy and smoky cave. Those occasional screeches of the tyres and the horns reverberated all around, adding to that feeling. Cars could go in only if other cars went out. We were lucky to get a space as the cars behind us were halted. The atmosphere inside the mall was again a bit disorienting. All people looked as though they were in a hurry. I don't know whether it was a hurry to get the best products, or was it a hurry to get out of the mall? I rather felt it was the latter. We just waited till the desperate guys cleared up and then went on. I bought a few clothes and stuff, and finished up with a certain ease and no hurry. That ended chapter one of the story. The true story was yet to materialise...
After completing our stuff, we moved down back to the parking lot to get out of Hyd Central. The poor security guys tried their best to keep things smooth. But it was not to be. People were in their own hurry, including our driver. Yet i say, he was a bit composed and patient. A long queue was formed as cars were struggling to get out of that usual circular ramp. Bad engineering for sure. Rising up one level in such a small radius would surely cause difficulties. Our driver told us of one incident where a lady driving an icon rammed head-on into an Innova. And we saw some people arguing over a minor crash between 2 cars which we couldn't see. Then there were a band of young men shouting at everyone they possibly could so that they can get out more quickly. The stupid guys forgot the way out and ended up going straight instead of turning in Level 1. They had to line-up behind a longer queue. We saw a Zen simply refusing to climb that ramp. Release the brake and your car rolls backward. He was struggling to get upward and forward. I can understand his pain, I always struggle with the same problem. Somehow, after about 35-40 min, we were out into the open and on the road. That ends Chapter 2.
After getting onto the road there was a new shock for me. My sister wanted to go to Big Bazar to buy a bag just like the one i bought. It was nearly 8 and we hadn't had anything to eat yet. Forget about that res in Central. It was already overflowing with homo sapiens. Big Bazar looked a little less crowded including the parking. Finally, I could see things around me, and feel them. I realised I was hungry and soon found something to eat as well. We bought the bag for my sis, and a few more things again. Shopping malls always tempt you to buy whatever you set your eyes on. It's a common disease. Finally out of Big Bazar, I thought my day was done. It was 9 and I expected an normal ride back home. Maybe I am foolish to call it a ride. It was a voyage. A huge one. We were stuck atleast 4 times near Ramanthapur only to find a huge procession of homo sapiens. This time they were wilder. I should have realised it was festival time and when I did, i cursed the whole universe for it. Huge blaring amplified speakers, (no, it was not a Rock Concert). The sound of the traditional drums, the lights, the people, the huge guys slashing themselves with those thick ropes ..... and finally, to add to all this pain, the heavy downpour. One second it was dry and noisy and the next moment, it was lashing down and scattering all people. But we managed to find our way out and reached home by the time the rain stopped. End of Chapter 3.
Now the epilogue. Home was the the place I was desparate to see ever since i stepped out. I never i understood the reason why i don't like to go out. I just feel like staying at home all day. Then the bell rang in my head. I was supposed to go to college tomorrow. Hey! College! I totally forgot about that. It was 10:30pm on the dials and my legs were not supporting me anymore. Had a 3 min dinner and was lost in Deception Point .......... don't know when i went to sleep. My guess is, 2-4 pages into reading.....
