Ambigram Chocolate

Well, we can now see Ambigrams coming out into the open with the new's ULTA Perk placing one on the cover of the bar. As the name suggests, the wafer part is outside and the chocolate is on the inside, just a reversal of the original Perk. The picture above tells all...

Aero ...

Well, this is one ambigram i suddenly made out of nothing. I was thinking of making something and i saw the word Aero written on my book. And i thought it would be great if i made one, coz i must be proud to be an Aeronautical Engineer ...

This one turned out to be quite simple and easy ... but the inexperience is still showing up ..

The mystery solved ...

You might have noticed that the Title of my blog has changed from "Up in Flames" to "Twisted Illusions". Well, i found that word somewhere on the web and i liked it. Since illusions are something that i really like, i took on the name. And I also made an ambigram of it in the gothic style. So this is an illusion that you gotta twist. Hence, Twisted Illusions. Here is the ambigram ...

Hope it's good .....

Ambi mazik ..

Ok, though exams are round the corner, i am deeply involved in something else. I am back with the ambigram craze. I started off by drawing them on paper and slowly upgraded to doing them on Adobe Illustrator. But somehow, i wasn't getting them good, so i quiccly moved to one of the most comfy softwares for FX, Adobe Photoshop. Started with the Football ambigram and after making a few on this software, i came back to making my name. Some are shown here ...

SUJITH

One of my friends, Sujith asked me to make one on his name after seeing a few ambis of mine. So made this one. It was a very tough one, and needed lots and lots of work. No explanations will be given anyway ... But more than the ambigram, i loved the background so so so much. I just took a brush tool and clicked once, and the effect it produced on the black background, is too good ...

RAJ

This one was a bit easy. I made it more easily on paper, but then that wasn't looking very elegant. I wanted it to look complex and difficult to make out. The R and a might be visible but many people don't make out the J. There's a funny looking dot about the J if you missed even that!! When i showed the simple paper drawing of it, no one realised it was an ambigram. What's the fun if your ambigram is missed out completely ?? Only when i turned the page over, they knew. I didn't want this to miss out like that. So, i made it look complex and ofcourse the glow effects were a 2 minute job...

These are 2 i made for my friend Nagur. These were difficult surely but i made them more so by trying to give a better look ... especially the second one. It looks good enough to be used as a logo .. but hard to make out the letters (don't tell me it looks like Jaguar suddenly !!!).. but they are all there .. nothing missed ...

Asymmetrically symmetric

Well, i am still lost in Ambigrams and Invigrams ... and i am trying something which i cannot do, but still, i managed to make something here. Hope it looks atleast distantly familiar if not close...

I am working on them, maybe soon, i will get to make some real good ones. I am still trying to make something look more exact and ending up making it look more distant....

This world is symmetric !!!

That's what is great about Dan Brown's books. They open you up to this new different world where you see extraordinary things and yet they seem so well blended with the natural world. The creativity really brings you out of yourself...

First, i was really amazed by his research in Deception Point, about the Mach 6 planes running on Hydrogen and all the techy stuff ... then, i read Da Vinci Code and was amazed by his understanding and analysis of history though i am sure most of it is controversial. And then i read Angels and Demons and found more interesting things called Ambigrams. You read them straight or upside down, they look the same. That's what suddenly changed my viewpoint. This whole world is symmetric. Everything is right there in front of you, if you only open your eyes to it. It makes you feel electrically charged when you think of something like this. And i was really after ambigrams and with some difficulty, i just managed this...

This is the ambigram of my name "Rajasekhar". I hope it looks like my name. I am sure i can never make something as good as those words - "Earth", "Air", "Fire", Water" and "Illuminati"... they are a bit too perfect. But i'll try getting as close as i can. I think there are a few blogs showing this.... one is Nagfa.

I'll post more of this stuff ... keep looking!!
