Exams ...

The Final exams of 2-2 semester have started and i may not be posting that regularly till they are over on 14th. So, hold tight till i come back....

Ambi mazik ..

Ok, though exams are round the corner, i am deeply involved in something else. I am back with the ambigram craze. I started off by drawing them on paper and slowly upgraded to doing them on Adobe Illustrator. But somehow, i wasn't getting them good, so i quiccly moved to one of the most comfy softwares for FX, Adobe Photoshop. Started with the Football ambigram and after making a few on this software, i came back to making my name. Some are shown here ...


SUJITH

One of my friends, Sujith asked me to make one on his name after seeing a few ambis of mine. So made this one. It was a very tough one, and needed lots and lots of work. No explanations will be given anyway ... But more than the ambigram, i loved the background so so so much. I just took a brush tool and clicked once, and the effect it produced on the black background, is too good ...

This one was a bit easy. I made it more easily on paper, but then that wasn't looking very elegant. I wanted it to look complex and difficult to make out. The R and a might be visible but many people don't make out the J. There's a funny looking dot about the J if you missed even that!! When i showed the simple paper drawing of it, no one realised it was an ambigram. What's the fun if your ambigram is missed out completely ?? Only when i turned the page over, they knew. I didn't want this to miss out like that. So, i made it look complex and ofcourse the glow effects were a 2 minute job...

These are 2 i made for my friend Nagur. These were difficult surely but i made them more so by trying to give a better look ... especially the second one. It looks good enough to be used as a logo .. but hard to make out the letters (don't tell me it looks like Jaguar suddenly !!!).. but they are all there .. nothing missed ...

Egg-scamz .. !!!!

It's been a very long time since i posted, and that's simply because of the crazy schedules made by the college. We have had internal exams till the last day of 2-2, and within a day, the lab externals are gonna start. It's something unimaginable when we look behind and see how time has passed. Within no time, 2nd year has come to an end, which means half of college is over. God knows what we are gonna do after we find ourselves out of college suddenly before realising it.

Anyway, the preparations for the exams hasn't started yet and right now, i am still stuck thinking about the lab exams. Though the CAD lab is kinda simple, the EEE lab will eat up all the energy. It's gonna be the first time i will be handling heavy-electricals after my shocking experience during band practice. The ease is no more there.

And ease it all up, i just found some interesting pics on the net ... some more cars again. And again i put in the Lambo Gallardo. They bring out new editions faster Michaelangelo's guitar picking ....

Crazy stuff all over the place...

Things are kinda getting crazier day by day ... there are a few things that i have noticed that really stuns me ....

My dad had some kinda dream the other day that it was raining .. and the next evening, it started raining and it's bin going on every evening since then... i cannot believe that something like that can happen ..

Then, i hear this news that dogs are biting people all over the place. The media is excited talking about that. But i am surprised... it's not just dogs. Even other animals have behaved abnormally and aggressively as my friends have observed. Bulls running over people, buffaloes trying to attack... are the animals tired of being slaves ?? Or are they seeing something we are not ?? A mystery i don't wanna solve (man i got no time for that !!)

And then, Bangladesh kinda beats South Africa, though i cheer such a drastic change in the "the-better-team-always-rules" world of cricket ...

Manchester United has behaved strangely strange... They lose 2-1 to AS Roma (good team you can say) in the Champions League, and they lose 2-1 again to Portsmouth (now that's not a "good" team !!) in the EPL, and again bounce back to defeat AS Roma 7-1 and advance to semis with 8-3 aggregate.. i really lost hope after they lost the first leg and now they are again on form ... hope they don't lose anymore. The EPL is about to end and the gap between ManU and Chelsea is closing !!!

Ok end of stories. Back to normal life. I hate these power cuts. And the rainfall is tempting the Gov to cutout more time. Days are getting hot and now this humidity is adding salt on the wounds...

Internals going fine, but the onlines will be a disaster as always and within no time we'll be seeing external examiners in our labs (of which we don't have a clue) and then comes the external showdown... i am hoping for the best...now i gotta take rest ... but i gotta prepare for the test !!!

Mahindra reno ready for Login ...

Renault has finally brought in that much awaited car, The Logan... coming in with M&M, the car's design finally gives something different for the onlookers. Man, i was bored seeing the same old indianlike designs... this logan got some interesting stuff like, chrome on the grille and stuff ... looks are moderate coz they wanted to keep the cost low.. but a welcome change to see a new logo on a car.. how long do we want to see the same old marutis and hyundais and toyotas??

Price is very effective - 4.2 to about 6.5 lacs range .. got some good bootspace in the rear as well. Dashboard looks boring but rear seats are said to be comfy with larger headroom as well... Mahindra wanted to compete with cars like Accent, indigo, fiesta, aveo and stuff and tried to keep the cost low though they tried to make this look more upmarket especially for our indian buyers. We always liked good looks for a lower price. Heard that the diesel is more fun to drive than the petrol..

What the hell !!!

This is quite frustrating for anyone ... from the past 4 days, i have been struggling with no internet at home.. i still didn't get it, and i am losing temper .. the guys who are supposed to get the recharge cards give a damn about this.. they have to go somewhere and get the cards.. and they haven't done it in 4 days ..

Anyway, the mood is set .. the internals about to begin and i, totally unprepared, not even knowing what is gonna hit me in the exams ..

No time here, explanations to be given later ... and here is a small piece of my artwork... i managed to draw this yesterday.. ok, those who know the German football players will recognise the beard, but the face is completely off ... it was supposed to Kevin Kuranyi, but i couldn't make the face look like him.. so, i just closed my eyes and drew what face i could get ...



i removed the background paper.. the folds and the colour look really bad... you can make out the difference between "white" paper and the real white here ..!!
