Man Utd still standing ...

Well, finally, i got to see a match of Manchester United. I saw Chelsea win their match the previous day and i got to see this match live thankfully. The signal was kinda bad but still, i bore it. This match was pretty interesting. A 4-0 win over Tottenham is good enough for me. I saw goals from 4 different players, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes and Giggs. It looked a bit funny because, Tottenham made 3 appeals for penalty and none were given and Manu got a penalty for Ronaldo to convert. And then, they started scoring quickly and in the end, the last and best goal of the match was Ryan Giggs'. Neat passing from Saha got Giggs completely free with only the GK to stop him. He couldn't be stopped. But Edwin van der Sar how was doing impressive goalkeeping got his nose broken by Keane's knee and moved out. I was just thinking about who's gonna come in for goalkeeping. I saw some old guy carrying the gloves and laughed at this. But then, he gave the gloves to Rio Ferdinand, that was even more more funny. Ferdinand wore the stuff of the GK and suddenly John O'Shea comes up to him and exchanges roles again. O'Shea wore the GK stuff now, and was struggling to tuck the shirt in, with his thick gloves. A sight to watch. He got to handle the ball twice. Once in a corner and again in a one-on-one tackle with a Tottenham striker. He ran out of the box, tackled that guy, cleared the ball and saved the clean-sheet. I was kinda stunned watchin all this.

At the same time, i was seeing how Real Madrid lost to Lavante 0-1. Boring match really. No one really creating chances. Lavante scored with a penalty. Clumsy tackling by Diarra, and with Raul and Van Nistelrroy, and Guti and Robinho, they could do nothing. There was occasional clips of Beckham watching the match from the stands. Well, he says, MLS, here i come !!!!

Some pics of the matches...

Very funnily, i saw Ruud van Nistelrooy giving crosses. Looks like he completely lost his position yesterday. He must have given more crosses than shots on target !!!
